When we see the word Lucifer, most of us become fearful. We equate Lucifer to the devil, Satan, and extreme forms of evil. This is because we are a people with set morals. We avoid things that are evil making Lucifer an avoided topic. But, it must be discussed for clarity.
My coauthor and I wrote a book called Do Freemasons Worship Lucifer?[1] In this book, we presented our research. Then we began to tie it in with economics and why Freemasons were accused of worshipping Lucifer. The reason is simple, jealousy and competition. The competition was between the clergy and Freemasons.
In the King James Version of the Holy Bible, the word Lucifer is found one time in the book of Isaiah (Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!). Isaiah 14 is quite interesting. It is actually a battle (war) cry. In other words, it is a motivational speech as the tribe of Jacob (Israel) prepares for war against Babylon. Isaiah 13: 3-5 has to be read to understand what is going on.
3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, [even] them that rejoice in my highness.
4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, [even] the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
In verse 3, the mighty ones who are called are the soldiers. These soldiers are from the different tribes of Israel as well as their allies.
Why is the title Israel used when speaking of the house (tribe) of Jacob (Isaiah 1: For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.)? From my studies, Israel is the deities who are being worshipped. It is broken down into 3 separate words Isis, Ra, and El. They are the holy trinity before God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost.
Isis was the last Egyptian deity the Romans worshipped. Her name changes throughout the different schools of thought. For example, when studying astronomy or astrology, she is the classical planet Venus. The 7 classical planets were a big part of ancient practices and are still used today.
Ra was Isis’ father. During the story of Isis and Osiris, Isis tricks Ra so she could bring Osiris back to life. El was worshipped by the Canaanites. So the title Israel is basically telling us who the house of Jacob was worshipping.
This brings me back to Lucifer, the bright morning star. Another name for Lucifer is Venus. Again Venus is another name for Isis. At one point in history, Venus was considered a second sun. It is sometimes seen in the morning.
Just like a prayer, the speaker in Isaiah 14:12 was calling on the powers of Venus to come to earth. We see in movies or read in books how different cultures believed their Gods gave them strength to defeat their enemies. This is the same thing. Lucifer should be understood not feared. This is why I continue to argue that it’s important to interpret history from the people who wrote these stories time not from our current understanding of things. If we look at things from our current understanding, we will continue to misinterpret what is truly being said. Lucifer is not evil. Lucifer is the planet Venus.
